Will you shape the future or will the future shape you?
The opportunity
At EY Consulting, we are building a better working world by transforming businesses through the power of people, technology, and innovation. Our clients are at the heart of what we do. We’re focused on solving the key issues of our client buyers, building deeper relationships and generating lasting value with significant impact.
Our firm sets the standard for consulting services, fostering an environment that encourages career ownership at every stage. As a part of our Process & Controls team, you'll be at the forefront of this dynamic service line, driving change and delivering solutions that revolutionize business operations. You’ll help our clients with transformation and innovation efforts: driving growth, reducing costs and managing risks proactively.
Your key responsibilities
Process & Controls is dedicated to helping our clients identify, assess and manage financial, operational, compliance, IT and strategic risks across their enterprise to provide value to their business. As a part of the Process & Controls team, you will work closely with senior team members to help clients manage their risks and improve their organizational processes through designing and implementing optimized business processes, internal controls, compliance programs, risk management and internal audit activity.
As a trusted business advisor, our Process & Controls team assists our clients in assessing and responding to risks in both a consulting and assurance context. This dual perspective provides you with an opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of a company’s strategic priorities, business strategies, business and IT processes, operations and corresponding risks and controls.
Industry Sectors
Our professionals are divided among three different industry sectors within which there are various opportunities available to start your career. During the recruitment process you will have the opportunity to express your preferences. The sectors are defined as follows:
Financial Services Organization (FSO) - serves clients across the following industries: Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance and Wealth & Asset Management. Within FSO this opportunity sits within our non-Financial Risk practice as our Internal Audit and Internal Controls group.
National Consulting - serves clients across a variety of industries including, but not limited to: Consumer, Retail, Health, Life Sciences, Industrial Products, Mobility, Oil & Gas, Power & Utilities, Private Equity, Media, Technology, and Telecommunications.
Government and Infrastructure (G&I) - serves federal clients as well as state and local agencies and higher education institutions.

To qualify for the role, you must:
Be pursuing bachelor's or master's degree in business with an emphasis in accounting, finance, risk management, information management or related technical fields such as business analytics.
Have a desire to work in the areas of risk management, compliance, internal controls and/or internal audit as demonstrated by relevant course work, interest or internship experience.
Have a passion for technology, innovation and a curious mindset.
Know how to effectively leverage firm approved AI tools to enhance problem-solving and productivity and have the ability to exercise sound judgment around AI-related risks and considerations.
Be able to assess and articulate the evolving risks that AI presents to clients across multiple risk domains.
Understand that the expectation for this role is in person teaming, at a client site or in an EY office, on average 3 days a week depending on the needs of the engagement, project or practice area.
Have access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
Be able and willing to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
