Your key responsibilities

The Financial Services Risk Consulting Track gives our people a unique opportunity to gain practical knowledge of strategic risk management and related transformations across Financial Risk and Non-Financial Risk teams within the Banking & Capital Markets, Insurance and Wealth & Asset Management sectors.

We assist our clients by:

• Driving efficiency, effectiveness and balanced risk coverage across their governance, risk and compliance activities

• Proactively identifying, measuring and managing risks and effectively leveraging new ideas and technologies in response to continuous change.

• Partnering with data & analytics and technology teams to deliver strategic and innovative solutions in emerging domains (such as Cloud, Cyber and Climate/ESG).

Skills and attributes for success

To qualify for the role, you must:

• Be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, Management, Computational/Quantitative Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or a related field.

• Exhibit exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions with team members and clients.

• Have proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a strong academic background in business and technology disciplines.

• Maintain an inclusive mindset, where you seek out and embrace diverse perspectives, value differences and team inclusively to build safety and trust.

• Have working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Know how to effectively leverage firm approved AI tools to enhance problem-solving and productivity and have the ability to exercise sound judgment around AI-related risks and considerations.

• Be able to assess and articulate the evolving risks that AI presents to clients across multiple risk domains.

• Understand that the expectation for this role is in person teaming, at a client site or in an EY office, on average 3 days a week depending on the needs of the engagement, project or practice area.

• Have access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

• Be able and willing to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.

• Be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employer sponsorship, now and in the future.

Ideally you:

• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher (on a 4.0 scale).

• Are a purpose-driven and growth-oriented professional with a passion for learning, a collaborative mindset and a proven ability to innovate, adapt and leverage technology to drive meaningful change in dynamic business environments.

• Have proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong academic foundation in business and/or technology and demonstrated ability to evaluate complex issues and develop effective solutions.

• The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $35.63 - $40.19 per hour. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
