At EY we pride ourselves on exceptional client service, strong accountability, and governance, making us the top choice for industry executives and the largest revenue-generating US and global tax practice. With EY's extensive network of tax professionals, we are equipped to meet a diverse range of tax and business challenges.
Your Key Responsibilities
The Foundry is a New York-based team of entrepreneurs, product managers, operators and strategists who have a proven track record of turning ideas into successful new growth businesses. In April 2016, EY acquired this team out of Highnote Foundry, a venture capital and venture services firm, in order to build and launch new businesses for EY Americas Tax.
We're looking for versatile team members to work on a diverse portfolio of projects, which currently includes:
Strategy projects to define the next winning products and segments for EY Tax
Development of a novel AI platform capable of generating written advice to clients in the same way that a human advisor currently does
Evolution of an immersive AI simulation platform – EY ConvoCoach – that teaches better communication skills
As a member of our team, you may be involved in:
Collaborating with stakeholders to define relevant market opportunities and proposed business model(s) to develop new and/or grow existing EY tax services businesses
Conducting analyses of technological solution(s), alternative revenue streams and business models to drive profitability
Gathering and interpreting data from client interviews and presenting findings in a cohesive and solution-oriented narrative
Conducting thorough research to evaluate and define new opportunities.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have
A predicted undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Economics or a related field; supported by a strong academic record.
Superior project management, interpersonal, communication, teaming and organizational skills.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.
You must either reside in or be in a commutable distance to New York City for this position.
Ideally, you will have
A functional understanding of strategy frameworks, business models, and product development
An entrepreneurial mindset – creative and resourceful problem solver who is an action-oriented and self-motivated team player, that is also tough-minded and strives for uncompromising excellence
A passion for learning: constantly discovering and forming opinions on the latest technology, business models, and new ventures
