Our International Tax and Transaction Services (ITTS) team addresses the evolving challenges faced by private capital investors and multinational companies amid changing tax and trade regulations, increased tax risk, and reputational pressures. Our globally connected services support the entire transaction lifecycle, from strategy to disposal, providing robust tax advice crucial for strategic business decisions in a dynamic market, and empowering clients to navigate complex transactions and optimize their corporate structures.
What you will do
The Transaction Tax Advisory (TTA) competency comprises teams that are focused on the tax aspects of the client’s capital agenda. We have dedicated professionals who are focused on buy-side due diligence, structuring and cash tax modeling; sell-side tax assistance, structuring and cash tax modeling; internal restructuring; capital structure and refinancing; distressed debt and bankruptcy; and tax attribute calculations and monetization strategies. Right from the start you’ll be exposed to the transaction lifecycle, often working across service lines to deliver tailored tax advice. Additionally, with both formal and on-the-job training, you’ll learn globally relevant tax technical, commercial, and business acumen skills. As a member of the TTA team, you will have the opportunity to work closely with highly trained subject-matter professionals who focus on all aspects of mergers and acquisitions.
Your key responsibilities include:
Perform due diligence on acquisition targets to analyze potential risks and benefits.
Collaborate with our tax teams worldwide to share data, communicate issues and oversee deadlines.
Manage the engagement process from beginning to end.
Develop acquisition and disposition structures for domestic and international transactions.
Evaluate tax aspects of financial models.
Research complex tax issues and draft technical documents and presentations, while providing authoritative tax findings to Managers, Senior Managers, Partners and clients.
Job requirements and preferences
Required qualifications
An undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline, and a predicted LL.M. in Taxation, JD or Master of Taxation.
Membership or anticipated membership in a US state bar; or a demonstrable plan for passing the CPA exam.
A high-level of self-motivation to work and learn both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.
Time management skills to prioritize effectively when working on multiple complex projects.
Flexibility to adapt to new challenges and a genuine desire to learn.
Excellent communication skills, proficiency in basic MS Office tools including Excel, and strong writing skills, with business fluency in the English language.
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary.
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $60.10 - $74.52 per hour. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
