Your key responsibilities
As a Deal Tech Summer Associate at EY-Parthenon, you'll conduct analyses, synthesize findings, and work with case team members, while performing secondary research from various sources for strategic support. Throughout your internship, you will receive training in business concepts and analytical methods and have the opportunity to interact with clients and gain valuable insights into their operations. During your internship, you’ll be executing various technical analyses like customer segmentation and market sizing to underpin strategic recommendations. Summer Associates are expected to continuously learn new skills relevant to different industries and support client engagement teams. You'll acquire new skills across industries, stay informed on industry news and trends to identify risks and opportunities, and build models to support deal financials for the digital function. Your role involves contributing to the development of digital strategies, such as data separation and digital maturity assessments, and supporting pre-sign diligence in IT and cybersecurity for buy-side transactions. The role also entails reviewing business plans, scrutinizing financial models, and developing project plans for effective transaction strategy and execution.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have
A predicted bachelor’s degree from an undergraduate institution
Proficiency in the English language, including the ability to listen, understand, read and communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, in a professional environment
The ability and willingness to travel and work in excess of standard hours when necessary. In certain circumstances, travel may be required beyond your work location based on client and project needs.
Access to reliable transportation to/from the EY office and client sites; a driver’s license is strongly recommended as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations
Ideally, you will have
Outstanding academic performance, including coursework relevant to the position, such as quantitative courses in finance, mathematics, business, economics, biologic sciences, computer science, or engineering
A strong interest in digital trends, data analytics and information technology stack
A strong aptitude for quantitative and qualitative research and analysis
The ability to assess complex situations and business problems to formulate potential solutions for our clients
The ability and the confidence to establish meaningful relationships with clients and colleagues
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word
Knowledge of how to leverage firm-approved AI tools in a business setting, including Microsoft Copilot

- The hourly pay range for this job, in the US, is $45 per hour. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
