The opportunity
As an Associate Analyst, you'll work at our Service Delivery Center (SDC), a core component of the Government & Infrastructure practice (G&I). The Service Delivery Center is made up of high-performing, US-based teams who work closely with our experienced professionals to deliver project-based work and managed services to our federal clients.
In this role, you will be part of a highly collaborative team, where you will quickly acquire on-the-job skills to advance your career while contributing to the development of new and exciting opportunities within the business. You will participate in project teams of various sizes, assessing or collecting customer information and reviewing transactions to identify unusual or potentially suspicious activity. This will also involve researching and evaluating any suspicious activity you identify, along with effectively documenting the results of your analysis.
The risk landscape is continuously evolving due to market volatility, rapid technological advances, geopolitical forces, widespread economic changes, regulatory reforms, and cyber
threats. Consequently, organizations face increased pressure to effectively assess, monitor, and manage risk. Your ability to proactively identify, manage, and respond to risks will position the organization for sustained growth and long-term value creation. The Risk Transformation
team helps organizations transform their approach to risk, enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of their risk management functions while implementing technology solutions that provide executive leadership with valuable insights for decision-making.
The Service Delivery Center is a vital component of the Risk practice, staffed by high- performing, US-based professionals who collaborate closely with region-based Risk experts to deliver a range of services, including:
- Board advisory
- Digital Risk Management
- Risk management as-a-service
- Next-Gen enterprise risk management
- Program risk management
- Third-party risk management
- Regulatory compliance
- Advanced risk analytics and foresights
- Risk function optimization
- Application security with a focus on SAP and Oracle
- Controls transformation
- GRC technology enablement
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of risk management frameworks, making it essential for success in navigating the complex risk
landscape.
Your key responsibilities
- Understand and apply fundamental risk management principles.
- Develop an understanding of clients’ industry and business.
- Assist with collecting information related to clients’ business and technology-related processes.
- Create business and technology processes, risk and control documentation based on information collected from clients. Assist with technical configuration of industry leading GRC tools such as SAP, Oracle, RSA Archer, ServiceNow, OpenPages through skills acquired on-the-job.
- Assist with assessing clients’ current state internal controls.
- Assist with researching industry leading practices and relevant EY methodology related to governance, risk, and compliance.
- Assist with performing analysis, identifying potential issues, summarizing, and documenting results and observations.
- Assist with control rationalization, optimization, effectiveness and efficiency and development of risk remediation strategies.
- Assist with monitoring project progress and risks and update key stakeholders on progress and expected outcomes.
- Collaborate with the Service Delivery Center teammates and region-based professionals to help ensure timely and efficient completion of projects.
- Stay informed of industry developments, technological advances, and professional trends.
- Use EY technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of projects.
Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role, you must have
- United States citizenship; must be able to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance or higher
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or general business-related field with a strong academic record (3.0 GPA or above).
- Strong communication, facilitation, presentation, and personal organization skills
- Ability to meet deadlines, identify and communicate barriers, and follow up on open issues.
- Ability to understand, document and analyse business and technology processes and assist with problem solving.
- Ability to work with business and technology concepts.
- Ability to learn and work with technologies related to governance, risk, and compliance
(e.g., SAP, Oracle, RSA Archer, ServiceNow, OpenPages).
- Flexibility and ability to work with a distributed team.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
- Ability to become proficient with proprietary technology.
- Excellent English language skills – both written and verbal.
- Travel may be required up to 10% of your time.
- Access to reliable transportation to/from EY office and client sites. A driver’s license is preferred as ride share and public transportation options may not be available in all locations.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base annual salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $50,000 to $57,000. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances.
